Jerry Lewis' Constant Pain

Jerry Lewis, the king of comedy, now reveals
he's also spent most of his life being the king of pain. At 76, Lewis is talking about the only secret he's ever kept, his constant pain.

Lewis' goofy and physical humor skyrocketed him to fame in the 50's with his partner, Dean Martin.
Lewis' pratfalls first brought him laughter. Then they brought him chronic pain.

This April, doctors implanted a electronic neurostimulator in his stomach. When he pushes a button, a stimulator floods his spine with low-voltage current. These pulses prevent pain impulses from reaching the brain. Now, Lewis is representing the company, Medtronic, which makes the device Lewis calls a lifesaver.

Lewis also calls his 10-year-old daughter, Danielle, a life saver. Two years ago, he was about to end his life, but she walked into the bathroom while he was holding a revolver and said, "No, daddy no". That's when he got help.
